Represent and advocate for CESA #9 schools on the CESA Instructional Services Council (CITSC) with DPI, DOA, ECB, and other CESA Consultants.
Represent and advocate for CESA #9 schools regarding federal programs and initiatives including the Universal Service E-Rate.
Coordinate collaborative networking sessions for district technology coordinators from CESA #9.
Facilitate a User Group on targeted needs of system administrators/technicians.
Provide timely update information related to technology planning, Title II D allocations, educational technology grants and funding opportunities.
Convene consortia members and coordinate technology-related grant writing.
Support individual and inter-district teacher inservice and training programs related to technology-based solution and effective integration into standards-based curricula
The National Educational Technology Plan outlines seven recommendations for policy makers and school leaders to consider:
- Strengthen ed-tech leadership at the state and local levels;
- Consider innovative budgeting;
- Improve teacher training;
- Support eLearning and virtual schooling initiatives;
- Encourage broadband access;
- Move toward digital content; and
- Integrate data systems
