Educational Support
Provide help with academics for students who are not successful in their current educational setting or program. This contact usually results in one or more of the following:
- Assistance with behavior planning and programming
- Recommendations for classroom behavior management
- Recommendations for social skills enhancement
- IEP recommendations
- Assist school personnel, teachers, and paraeducators with tools to help manage a student’s behavior
- In-school support to assist educational staff in the classroom or working with students individually
- After school support at school or community setting
- Neutral site support with school personnel present for transition into school setting
- Social Skills Acquisition in school or community
- Home support with school work/social skills/behavior plans
- Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA)
- Assist with students transitioning from CCIs, hospitalizations, or out-of-home placements
Research & Information
Assist in providing information about different diagnoses and disabilities as well as support options in the community. Provide referral resources if needed. Help provide information on a specific mental/emotional/behavioral disability to help educate school staff so they can better and more effectively meet the child’s needs .
Crisis Intervention
Assist in individual crisis planning at any level or stage. Participate in the practice of plan to extent needed.
