SIMS Overview

SIMS is software developed by Madison Metropolitan School District with the support of the Wisconsin DPI. It was piloted in several Wisconsin school districts during 2008-09, which helped to identify training components and the support needed for successful implementation. Beginning in 2009-10, CESAs will support the use of SIMS in their respective regions, making it available to districts statewide.

SIMS is designed to document team discussions and interventions educators make for students whose needs are not being met in school. SIMS incorporates critical features of RtI, including high quality instruction, collaborative problem solving, and the use of data to make educational decisions. Read more…

Use this site to demonstrate and practice using SIMS. Entries are regularly deleted. Choose “training” district. Login and password = oneschool. Choose grade 5, all students.
